2022 Graduates IB Salaries, Bonus, Sign-On Bonuses

Saw the 2021 thread and thought it'd be appropriate to start one for 2022

For those of us who are graduating college in the next month or so and starting our careers in IB....what is your salary, sign on bonus, and expected bonus. Try to state general location, type of bank, etc.

Corporate Banking (BB)
Salary: 110
Sign-on: 10
Expected bonus: 30-50
Year 1 All in range: 150-170

MM IB NYC

Salary: 100

Sign-on: 12

Expected Bonus: 55 - 85 (based on A1)

Curious to know if bonus is usually dictated as a % of base (50% to 70%) in the offer letter or if the offer letter simply states there is a bonus and you are looking at historical percentages.

BB offer letter doesn't have a % of base, just that there is incentive comp etc.

MM IB, NYC

Salary: 100

Sign-on: 15

Expected Bonus: anywhere from 60-90

Confirming base and sign-on numbers, believe bonus can be a bit higher than that, likely closer to ~$260k for top bucket

Is your coverage group known to be one of the strongest performers at Jef? Also, what are you basing your bonus on?

Maybe I’m crazy but I think you all are on crack. You’re basing bonuses off of two remarkable record setting years.

Chicago MM

Salary: 105

Sign on: 10

Bonus: I’d be happy with 30-35k post tax
