2023 On-Cycle Recruiting
Given that 2022 on cycle just took place, does anyone have an idea of when 2023 on-cycle may kick off? Some have told me it won't kick off until at least winter / early next year, and that HHs / firms are using this year's delayed on-cycle as an opportunity to "reset" the on-cycle recruiting timeline. Others have told me I shouldn't be surprised if it kicks off somewhat soon (i.e. late October / early November)
Would appreciate any and all thoughts here, especially from those who are at PE firms and may have discussed this internally or with colleagues at other funds. Thanks a ton in advance.
bump
(2nd year analyst here) I spoke to HH as part of the 2022 process and multiple HH told me 2023 wouldn't kick off for another year.
They said there would be another wave of 2022 roles that will open in January 2022, and they won't start 2023 until 2022 is wrapped up.
You never know. Better to start preparing asap if you plan to do on-cycle. If you arent entirely dead set on MF or plan to do off-cycle, you can prob chill for a bit
It really does seem this year that it will get pushed back given this year's late recruiting / desire from HHs and funds to reset. But 100% agree with your point, wouldn't be surprised if Thoma Bravo once again randomly kicks things off later this fall.
any updates on this? Have headhunters started reaching out yet?
