Advisor Role - First Time Fund

Hi there, I have several years of investment banking and private equity experience. I was recently approached by a former Google guy, who is looking to raise a first time VC fund. He wanted my help to create his pitch deck and wants just general advice about the fundraising process, etc.

Curious if others have done similar work in the past? I am unsure what kind of compensation to ask for and how to structure this type of relationship?

Thanks in advance.
