AKO Capital Info/Insights

Does anyone have any insights or info about AKO Capital?

What affect does Nicolai's departure have on the firm moving forward?

How does AKO compare to other top Hedge Funds? What are the career prospects for a junior at AKO, is there high turnover, or do analysts usually stay for a significant period?

And lastly, does anyone have any insights into comp and/or recent performance?

over 20bn in 4 funds - long only/long-short & european and global funds. Obviously AUM isn't signal of prestige but firm is well established and definitely a top player in traditional L/S equity within Europe. On Tangen's departure, from what I've heard things have moved on smoothly, inflows are still good and returns last year were good (20% from what I've heard). Can't comment on career prospects but does seem low turnover at least compared to MM's (as its a SM) and comp is solid. I saw a post from a couple years ago I think from efinancialscareers than showed partners are v. well payed however they prob have quite a bit of their comp tied into the fund.

Probably one of the few large AUM quality SM HFs around in London (Egerton, TCI are the others that come to mind). Believe turnover is low and seats don’t come by often. I’m assuming you’re asking this is in relation to the ESG role they have. No idea how serious they are about ESG but could be pretty good gig versus some of the ESG roles at the long only funds
