Anything I should know for Auditing of Financial Institutions

I will be starting as an assurance associate at a Big 4 coming soon. I am in a group in which the clients are primarily Asset Management and Hedge Funds. I have done a busy season before and have some familiarity with auditing and accounting and am wondering is there anything I should know that I wouldn't already know (other than the fact I still won't know sh*t) from accounting coursework? Also do exit opportunities commonly lead to these industries (or do I just become another fortune 500 mgr)?

I work in Big 4 and most of our financial services auditors eventually end up in the accounting function over at the broker dealers, hedge funds, etc., although they also end up at unrelated F500 companies. Not sure if you're asking whether you can move from back office to front office once you jump to a client but that's been covered a lot here already so I'll spare the details.
