Are incoming FTs w/ Virtual Training getting apartments now or after Training?
Are analysts moving into apartments once training begins or would it just make more sense to wait until after virtual training so you're not paying two months worth of rent for virtual training?
I think the bigger question is if there is a buffer time period in between training ending and joining the group in-person? Perhaps this has always been a thing during normal times where there is a space between training ending and work starting? I imagine there would need to be at least a week or two to go through the entire moving process.
Or are people planning to just move one weekend during training?

I was planning on moving in after training. Still haven’t heard when I need to be in the office.
I'm in the exact same position. I don't think I will get a firm date until July. Is there typically a lengthy period between training ending and being expected to hit the desk?
Started full time last summer. Although training and work were both virtual, we finished writing the Series exams and hit the desk the following day.
Things were a bit quiet though as we started work on a Thursday so my team didn't really have much for me to do the first two days.
I moved in early, june for july start. I got a crazy covid deal tho and most of those are gone now, so probably worth it to just wait until your firm goes back to the office.
My lease in a different state ends, so I am moving before training. I figure it will be nice to explore a new city without crazy hours and not have to worry about moving while on the desk. Antidotally, about half of my peers for my incoming class are moving in before.
How much time do you have between training ending and starting on the desk?
For me, training starts on a Tuesday (7/6), ends on a Friday (8/6), then we hit the desk Monday.
Signed a lease with a June 1 start date. Saw the perfect apartment with a month free which I knew would go fast. Inventory is drying up so would guess most incoming analysts are moving soon
studio?
I moved into my place June 1 and don’t start training until late June. Definitely nice knowing that I have the move in process done with and can chill out before work starts.

We are are expected to hit the desk by mid August. I personally plan on moving in during trainings.
I'm moving before training starts. It gives me time to set up my apartment, explore the surrounding area, and get into a routine before work starts.
Would love to move in soon but have no idea when well be in person because we haven't gotten shit in terms of communication. How many of you havent gotten any onboarding communication yet?
I'm in the same exact boat and situation. Gotten nothing yet. I don't want to get a place and be stuck inside my apartment for two months..
There is typically only one weekend between training and the desk. So if training ends on a Friday, you hit the desk on Monday (or at least that's how it was for me).
Dang that's pretty short. I imagine this was before covid virtual and all that stuff though.
