Bank Teller: I work in Finance
Ever met bank tellers who tell people they work in finance/banking? I want to smack them, making banking/finance look less prestigious after ppl find out they're tellers and making their job look more prestigious than the true crap it is.
Throw in those from ops + IT + customer representatives + janitors.
hahaha i also find it annoying reading comments on websites where people refer to bank tellers as bankers.

Calling yourself a banker and making enough money to actually be a real banker are two different things. Honestly, I am more than happy to let bank tellers get shit on by everyone for being foolish to identify themselves as bankers in today's environment.
I'm pretty sure you got the idea for this post from The Office episode where Michael Scott tells a lady at the bar he is a bank teller because Ryan told him to always tell women he works in Finance

lol my boss at my work-study job at the financial aid office told me she used to work in banking--and by banking she meant one of those customer representative retail bankers you see when you walk into your local bank of america branch
Its just horrible, I have a friend who was a bank teller claiming "damn it feels good to be a banker". Luckily he was recently accepted to a top Canadian target.
Seriously. I had to disown all of my friends who didn't go top targets, and those who went to semi-targets, I'm only allowed to see on every other weekend.

The terms finance and banker are blankets.... I can tell you guys will do models and bottles in a sketchy nightclub and hit on women that are more insecure than yourselves. If a bank teller wants to tell anyone they are bankers let them, who cares? Go on with your life, it's ok. Concentrate on getting your full time offer and stop acting like you are shareholders of GS. I have never met a bank teller who even knew what "finance" was, let alone say he/she (usually a she- fat black woman dressed in shades of purple, green and gold) "works in finance."
not that i speak to them often- i usually just slip them a sheet of paper stating my demands and then haughtily stare above their eyebrows, daring them them to make servant-master eye contact.
