What happened to Blastoise?
Hi again everyone,
So was reading the archives of WSO, hoping to get a better understanding of what the culture here is like, what the history of the website was, who gives the best advice... etc etc, and I noticed that there used to be a guy around here called blastoise who seemed to be a pretty big player on this website.
Thing is though, I can't seem to find anything on his profile. I have come across a few posts which seem to lament his departure. Did he leave? Was there some sort of altercation? Did he get banned?
Anyway, I really enjoy this website and it's content. Wanting to fit in more, I was hoping to learn more about our history.
Anyone want to fill me in?

If I recall correctly, blastoise was one of the best trolls on here.
Sadly, Pikachu's Thundershock took him out of WSO.

Anyone know what thread has his last comment, ie what ultimately did him in? He had like 4000+ posts (mostly trolls) so curious to see after all what was it that crossed the line, lol.

also, from what i can understand, there seem to have actually been two blastoises both seemed like trolls of some sort, but one of the accounts is still active

in wut world does thundershock beat a fully evolved blastoise? unless it's Ash's pikachu, u need at least thunderbolt or thunder to 1-hit ko (if u dun have a focus sash)

He is interning at a BB now and was WSO's first intern. He got banned for breaking the rules too many times.
He's fine. I talked to him this morning.

I'm of the impression that they are separate users. I think bIastoise (the one with a capital i and an actual picture the Pokémon Blastoise) was originally created to smear the reputation of blastoise (the one correctly spelled with a lowercase L and a troll face avatar). Ironically, bIastoise hasn't been remotely as funny as the original blastoise and has converted from being a troll into a pretty decent contributor that asks good questions. Old school blastoise is still just doing his thang.
i'll leave it to interpretation, sort of like how religious scholars debate over whether St. John the Apostle and St. John in Revelations were the same person in the Bible

Wait, wait, wait... I know a different mod deleted the thread where I put venusaur on trial, but I was under the impression that I had blocked venusaur for good. Pretty sure Anthony also did an IP ban. Please indicate the recent sightings of venusaur and I'll get to the bottom of this.
