Blackstone (Advisory) exit opps?
Does anyone know if headhunters for the top megafunds generally reach out to analysts in BX advisory (like they would with GS TMT)? Or am I going to have to do a lot of networking to get interviews?
I'm just worried that because Blackstone's analyst class is pretty small, maybe HHs will focus more on the traditional BB groups?
For those who have gone through the PE recruiting process, have you seen people from BX advisory at PE interviews or know people who have gotten offers from places like KKR/Carlyle/Apollo/etc?
(I'm going to be working there this summer)
BX is horrible - why would you ever get a job there? I think it will be very hard to find exit opportunities - it is certainly no GS TMT or MS M&A
yeah you're screwed. id rather do pwm at GS
id rather do the plumbing at GS...
I have heard first-hand that BX restructuring > BX M&A. That said, I am sure you will have no problem jumping to PE after 2-3 years in either group.
all the top funds
Shoe Salesman and a red-headed wife. I worked at BX M&A and Gary's Shoes and Accessories for Today's Woman was the only place that would hire me after I finished my analyst stint
Old bump, but justified, because that was hilarious.
Please don't equate such a fine delicacy such as that of Caviar (Osetra preferred) to BX... Try Cape Cod Community College: 4 Seas by the Sea as your user name.
Hope this helps.
haha wow the sarcasm on this board...
Give the kid a break, he's only a junior in college.
Yes, BX analysts are recruited very heavily by all the megafunds. You'd have the same opportunities as your buddies at MS and GS, maybe even better since the analyst class is so much smaller.
If you're still not sure, just talk to some current/previous analysts in your group and you'll see that they got interviews/offers with all the top funds. I personally know two analysts there who are going to megafunds
So this means he doesn't have to search for a answer and he deserves to have things spoon feed to him?
Signature.
Hahaha that shit at BX
