Pick a few securities to follow out of the asset classes that you're interested in. Learn to navigate it.

It's not very intuitive, so you'll fumble around at first, but you'll find that you can get information extremely quickly when you learn to use it.

 

I had used bloomberg for maybe like 2 hours total before my internship. After 2 weeks this summer my desk claimed I was a bloomberg master. A lot of the functions in equity are in confusing locations. You will use the same functions day to day which you will know how to use but there will be many many functions you wont ever use. The good thing is its all available if you ever need it.
