Brandes Investment Partners - 2nd Round

Have a second round interview for Brandes investment partners in San Diego.... Was informed that I'd have to take an accounting test and give a writing sample. HR also noted that interviews would be technical for the most part, with some behavioral. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this experience in the past, and has any advice on what I can do to efficiently/sufficiently prepare? Thanks.

go4it, did you recently interview? Also did you have to take the written accounting test...? Weird questions... Can you specify at all anymore how the interview went?

Also yes you can go to hedge funds from IM, but it's a more complicated/no set rules process. Basically you would have to keep your ears open for HF vacancies where they need someone to cover what you've been covering. Also it will tend to be with smaller HFs. Not nearly as cut and dry as banking ->HF. If you go the MBA route you'll need to go to an M7 that has a buy side/HF presence.
