Carpal Tunnel Help
The last post I saw was from 2007 so hopefully medicine has improved since then...
Does anyone have advice on how to keep carpal tunnel under control? I got the gel pad for my keyboard/mouse, but it has not helped too much...
My numb fingers are begging you for some help here

hydration, exercise, and nutrition should help as well.
Ergonomic keyboard
I had it few years back, the only thing that worked for me was this.

Wear it just at night ONLY! And no more than 8 hours, avoid sleeping on that hand.
Had symptoms similar to carpal tunnel a couple of months ago. However, after my GP couldn't diagnose CT syndrome I was left pretty puzzled.
Although some of the stretching exercises recommended for CT helped quite immediately.
An ergonomic mouse and keyboard provided some relief - alongside with the typical gel pads.
What made the difference for me was buying a hand trainer (those cheap ones on Amazon already did the trick).
The numb feeling in my fingers is gone now and I did experience pain in quite a long time.
I had such problems and didn't find any good solution.
