Credit Suisse Pymetrics Test

Anyone else who applied for SA class of 2018 have to take this Pymetrics games assessment for CS? Does it have an impact on your application? I took something similar for PwC in the fall, and the recruiter told me it was for data collection and has no effect on your application

Credit Suisse Pymetrics

It is currently unclear how Credit Suisse weighs the results of the Pymetrics test. However, these "games" are repackaged versions of psychometric tests. Test scores are most likely used in conjunction with other applicant information as a part of initial screening. The invitation to to the Pymetrics tests should be sent to you after submitting your application.

Cunchbasepymetrics applies AI to predict job performance based on complex neuroscience data. Using unbiased algorithms, pymetrics builds a cognitive and emotional trait profile of a company's top performers to source and screen potential talent.

The tests should be treated the same as any other psychometric test. You should focus on both speed and accuracy when completing the tests. While there are no right or wrong results there are favorable profiles. The closer you score to there ideal candidate the better. Below is helpful video for taking psychometric tests.

You will never really know for sure, but I think it is just to weed out the bottom x% of the applicants, after which your results do not really matter (provided you pass of course).

I got my Pymetrics invite after about 3 weeks for SA 2018 IBD, it was basically a series of games that judged your risk tolerance and stuff. It was just like taking a NCAA concussion test.

I'm not sure how they weigh it, but you have to be very careful about playing the games. I played all of mine tactfully, and the results came back saying I have a dangerously high risk tolerance and little regard for those I work with. I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion, but not sure its what recruiters want to see in applicants.

Could hurt my chances, stay wary.

I know they do it for APAC, do they do it for US now or were you applying to Asia?
