ER dissertation topic

Hi everybody,

i will start as an ER intern next summer. Currently I am planning to start my dissertation. I thought I might already take a topic that might help me next summer. ( I am also interested in these topics)

hence I thought u guys might have some tips for cool topics that might be good for an ongoing ER person to read, think and write about.

I was thinking about Sum of the part valuation and break up value but maybe u have great ideas.

Hi,

I am currently completing my MSc thesis and was initially going to write about the following topic, but instead I went for an M&A related topic:

Identifying under/over valued securities by deconstructing the fundamentals

Description: Two of the most commonly used ratios – P/E and B/M can be shown to be a function of cost of equity, growth rate, and return on equity and payout ratio. This project involves testing how well the fundamentals explain the cross-sectional variation in these ratios and then goes on to test whether the variation between predicted and actual values can be used to identify under/over-valued securities.
