Freshman summer internship

Hey, I'm a freshman at a semi-target and am desperately looking for any financial experience for summer 2022. I am pursuing a dual degree in finance and math and have an SAT of 1530 (the only grades I have available rn)
Do advice on how I can go about getting some experience! Thanks!

First, breathe and chill out.

Second, as a freshman, you don't need to do an internship in order to stay competitive, as long as it is something. Options include:

Freshman Seminar/Leadership Development programs at various companies. Some banks and often the Big4 will do week-long job shadows or intro programs that are meant for freshman to get you interested in the firm.

A small-town internship with a local financial advisor or wealth manager. Good way to get to learn about these fields from a smaller pwrspective- and youll probably save money on rent if it's in your home town.

Summer jobs: camp counselor, volunteer, waiter, landscaper, whatever. Interviewers (including myself) look very well on those who have worked in food service and done other menial jobs. It shows humility and hard work.

Take summer classes. Nothing wrong with getting ahead on stuff so you're not overworked down the road, or you have time to do a semester abroad.

Hope that helps

Thanks a lot. I'm cold calling local PWMs rn. Hopefully, something pulls through.
I don't like being idle for 3 months; worst-case scenario- I take a few summer classes.
