From Farm Town Originally, Need Résumé Advice (Summer Analyst Internship)

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I have some basic resume-related questions that pertain to obtaining a summer analyst internship in I-banking (at least semi-prestigious) or consulting (MBBB). I'm open to any country/city, but I'm only fluent in English.

Stats:

-U.S. citizen, U.S. educated. Male.

-Basically a complete lack of work experience in the business world. Stupid jobs. Haven't worked in years. Grew up on back-breaking manual labor.

-Will be 31 in summer. Have been a caretaker for a dying relative, though that situation is over now. Ate into what could have been school time/career development.

-Recent graduate. 3.9+ (unweighted), liberal arts, non-target. Similar prestige university to what you'd expect from a typical state school.

-Student government.

-Elementary to intermediate Spanish/Chinese.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Should I mention jobs that would be considered degrading when put into a finance/consulting context? In other words, should I omit those jobs from my resume?

2. Summer analyst roles tend to go to current students. Well, I recently graduated, and my situation wouldn't have allowed for me to run off to some banking city for a summer. But now I'm free to do so. I'm re-enrolling in my undergrad school for some math courses to take between now and summer. Is that a huge mistake from an internship-gaining standpoint? If I enroll for grad school instead, I'll likely have to take some stupid initiation to the school type courses, and I won't want to graduate anyway, since the school is a non-target. It would simply be for the sake of being in grad school so that I could get a SA internship.

Thanks. Please advise.

Certainly not trolling. And I can in no way afford to move off to NYC/LDN/whatever just for networking. And concerning me kidding about MBB consulting: I'm very much a jokester, but I was serious about that comment. Do you say that b/c of what would be perceived as an unfavorable age to accomplishment ratio?

I'm not 31 yet. No $ for school until I was eligible for government help (i.e. age 24). And had to balance school with being a caretaker. I wanted nothing more than to just go to college after high school like "everyone else." Do you mean grad school for SA internship application?

It took me five years to finish college, and I was doing certs before that. And the farm town comment was simply to show that I have limited exposure to that world and thus need extra 411.
