GS Video Interview?

Two of my friends have received video conference interview from GS AFTER the phone screen interview.

I thought GS only used to do phone screen and then on site? How common is the video interview (not just for IBD but for different divisions as well) ? What should be expected from the video interviews?

Video interviews at GS are common. Typically if you're coming out of state, GS will conduct 3 interviews (either phone or video) before bringing you on-site. Just because they chose to conduct a video interview rather than a phone screen doesn't mean that they are much more interested in the candidate.

There's nothing out of the ordinary to expect. Video interviews are conducted just like every other normal interviews. I typically don't like them, because the interviewers sometimes get distracted with emails popping up on the lower right hand corner.

So this isn't a video interview per se but a recorded video you send in. I think it's like 3-4 automated questions that you answer

No this is a LIVE video interview.

They are doing the video interview AFTER the phone interview.
Are you aware of what type of questions are asked in video interview? Are they behavioral again?

Expect the same questions they asked on the phone interviews. Majority of the questions are going to be behavioral, but make sure you're comfortable answering technicals. Also, word of advice, the culture at GS cherishes ones ability to understand concepts and not memorize them. Don't be that kid that memorizes all the vault guide technical answers and reciprocate them in interviews.

Any information on what types of questions the automated/prerecorded digital interviews consist of would be greatly appreciated! Also, for people from non-target schools, what was the process like after the prerecorded interview?
