Help with offer decisions

Hey guys,

I would definitely appreciate some insight on which group to choose.

My offers:

BofA Real Estate Investment Banking - SF
Barclays (formerly Lehman) - Menlo Park Tech Group
Jefferies Broadview - Foster City Tech Group

Waiting on:

Lazard - TMT Group in SF

Thanks!

lost an all-star tech banker who went to Citi (can't recall his name...) last month. Some people say Lazard's TMT group is a joke, but they've worked on a number of significant deals, and going forward, it's just my hunch that pure advice and trust will be highly valued. That said, Broadview had a very strong reputation before being bought out by Jeffries: I'm honestly not sure what their deal flow has been like since.

I THINK (not sure) that GengisKhan is a west coast banker or at least knows a bit about the groups out there, so it might be worthwhile to drop him a line and ask.

Good luck!

3 Offers, that's incredible, especially in this market. You met the groups though, you have a better idea of where you fit in. From an outsider POV, I would jump on the Barclay's offer, only because you have to figure that's a company that will be steadily increasing their US presence and prestige.

BofA's real estate group is strong, definitely one of the best in the space. can't say the same for either lehman or Lazard tech. that said, go with what you're interested in and what you thought about the people you met and group culture - the difference in group strength and dealflow between these groups, and especially in this market, is not that big
