Well there's been a lot of frankfurt hiring due to Brexit. I've interviewed couple months back for a rates trader role for a bank in frankfurt. Thought of moving their london desk slowly there.
BAML trading SA/FT return offers were for Paris for some desks. Know people going there for SA as well as people with return offers that says a lot imo.
Having recruited for SA this year I felt like the process was a bit odd for some banks ie Citi(gave some first rounds 2 weeks ago)/CS(little hiring)
The two big French banks have a hiring freeze. Apparently, it's because of their recent results though, not Brexit.
still seems super quiet
.
Not from a large bank, but we are leaving London completely for Amsterdam.
My old bank were giving people relocation packages to move to Paris or Frankfurt. I also heard that hiring for most FICC roles is practically dead on a handful of European bank desks.
I can't believe this is really happening in some three weeks time.
Not for M&A but the situation seems to be different for S&T but not a complete hiring freeze. I'd also say that hiring patterns may be different for US and EU banks (several of my classmates received offers from US BBs, maybe one or two offers from UK/EU banks).
imo we will have to see the other side of brexit
Confirming hiring freeze at two Bulge Brackets.
Ok

Not only freezing, a few are firing people, unfortunately
Interesting
seems very very low. Goldman is usually low ~50-60% but not that low. That said for ER it was very low in the range you gave.
Honestly again London job market feels totally dead. What do other people think?
Yep, im coming off an MBA program with a pretty solid pedigree and struggling to get looks.
Conversion rates have been very low. 13/50 Summer Analysts converted in S&T at MS, 3/11 on credit desks at JPM, not sure about the numbers on the IB side but was told that some really qualified interns in IB didn’t made the cut. Barclays also was very selective in S&T with returns at ~20%.
my bank averages 10% returns offer overall.. probably slightly lower for S&T
