Houlihan Lokey - LA

Hey guys,

There's very little information available online on Houlihan Lokey and their LA office, despite being headquartered there. I know their RX group is one of the best, but there is conflicting information on its culture and hours.

So if any intern or monkey working on the west coast has any information, it would be great if you could share it here.

Essentially looking for -

1) Group Breakdown (RX, CF, FAS) - What industry groups do they cover in CF?

2) Culture/Hours worked - Again have heard conflicting things on the CF groups in HLHZ.

3) Dealflow - Again I'm assuming RX is no1, but what about the other groups?

Thanks in advance!

Don't know anything specific about CF (FAS is generally considered "not real IB" but has the reduction in hours to go with it, would probably avoid if you have another offer), but RX is definitely a great place to be. Obviously long hours but all the people who work there are really chill and probably some of the best to spend long nights in the office with. The firm also goes out of its way to make your summer enjoyable regardless of group.

Yes still a student, but have met 90% of HL RX LA lol. It's a lean group for the amount of deal flow they get and seems like staying past midnight regularly is true.

Hi, can people offer information about Houlihan's LA office such as what industry / product groups are there, and what groups are better than others.

Also can anyone explain Houlihan's FAS (financial advisory service) group and if it's a good group?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone invited to HL LA for full-time analyst interviews? I heard that they started recruiting but was wondering if anyone heard/invited to their office for an interview.

Any offers from HL LA? (Originally Posted: 02/10/2009)

Has HL Restructuring given out any offers yet?

I had my superday last week and they said they'd get back to me in a week, but I am not sure whether they are actually going to take a week to make the decisions or if they wanted me they would have called me right after my interviews like most other BBs.

Houlihan Lokey LA Groups (Originally Posted: 04/05/2018)

Hi all,

I haven't found an update on groups in Houlihan Lokey's LA office, so would appreciate some insight, especially since everything I have read is that an analyst's experience at HL is group-specific. Would be great to learn more about culture and exit opps.

Thanks in advance for the responses
