How Long Does it Take to Prepare for EB Technicals?
Hi all,
I'm currently at a target school recruiting for 2023 SA positions. I recently received a first round interview for an EB (Lazard/Moelis/Evercore), which is scheduled for next week. I have my basic technicals down (e.g. walk me through a DCF, walk me through the 3 financial statements, etc.), but I have heard that EB technicals are notoriously difficult. Is 4-5 days enough for me to cram advanced technicals to an extent that I can make it to the superday and hopefully land the offer? I have the BWIS 400 questions guide as well as the WSO course bundle.
i was in the same boat, I learned in all in a weekend (1day and a half). If anything it matters that you understand the concept, not memorize it. Most of the technicals asked were applying the concept.
What sources did you use to cram? That's pretty impresive
to be fair I had already taken courses in accounting and some finance, so pretty much knew the concepts except lbo
Second this, non div at a target and just received EVR/CVP. Grinded out all technicals in 2 days, so def can be done if u work at it. U also sound like you’re in a pretty good spot already too, would just lock in the next few days to have a deep understanding of stuff and you should be good
What did you use to prep for techincals?
Standard stuff like u have, tbh mainly just reading the guides thoroughly til u know it inside and out
