How long to hear back after BB IBD final interview..?
I interviewed with a BB for an IBD summer in London at the end of October and was reassured the whole time that we would hear back in 4 days at a maximum. I got some detailed feedback from interviewers that could honestly have gone either way but made me think it was a rejection. However I've still to hear back from HR despite what they said about the max time frame. I did send a follow up email to the HR rep but haven't heard anything back.
I'd be less confused on the situation if I hadn't gotten that feedback and hadn't been told about the timeframe repeatedly. Is this some kind of waitlist situation or have they just forgotten..? Would appreciate if anyone has any experience with this/heard about a similar situation!
Highly likely it is a rejection, sorry buddy. You will see throughout your career (and trust me you will get your break soon) that HR is a different breed of lazy. Some don't have the decency to let you know unless the firm kind of mandates it.
Honestly kind of assumed it after the feedback but yeah was expecting an HR response at least, seeing as they emphasised A LOT that they'd get back to us quickly lol. Thank you for the response!
If it´s BofA (which could be looking at your profile) they send rejection emails 1-3 weeks after AC / or offers c.1-4 days after the AC
Not BofA - already had my post-AC rejection lol - literally just under a week for anyone curious. Just a bit surprised because they said repeatedly offers + rejections would go out in four days, which is why I'm hanging on for wait list
The girl who was tasked with letting people know may have drank too much Pinot last night. Plus Monday night the bachelor is on so that may make tomorrow a no go either.
How long do GS typically take?
I received the answer within a week (5-6 days if I am not wrong) 2 years ago, but dont think things may have changed much since then
How common is to get waitlisted for BB SA in London? What are the chances you get an offer from wait list?
Have seen in 2nd rounds, but not in ACs --> Chances are slim but they do exist
I did an AC at CS, they sent an email to others candidates ( the next day) to tell them to wait a bit for the result as there is a bit of a delay in getting feedback from interviewer but I didn't receive anything. does that mean anything?
I've got to say that this was for CS and I didn't get any kind of email after and I got my rejection yesterday. Hope it turns out better for you but from my experience with CS when they don't follow up it's generally not looking good
I received the same email. PM me.
Thank you, I thought the same. Tbh, I have an offer at a bank better than them, so was just being greedy.
No worries - congrats on your offer!
