If the Democrats win the Georgia senate seat...

....we're going to have the Biden-Harris agenda go through in the next 2 years at least. What are your thoughts on this? Federal minimum wage will go to $15/hour, oil&gas is done, tech companies will be under greater scrutiny, corporate taxes are going up (and investment income taxes), inflation pressures from great gov spending will cause yields to go higher and a rotation out of high growth stocks..

Moreover, almost every big corporation, investment banks, Hollywood and mainstream media supported the Democrats. Therefore, the next 4 years will be more power to the mega corps and most small business' that closed during the lockdowns won't ever open again.

Just type in 'Biden donors and Trump donors' on Google. Most of Trumps donors were farmers, police unions and people in rural areas. Biden's donors were all mainstream elites. Most people at my office and most people I know including MDs and Partners at BB IB & B4 Accounting supported Biden as well.

I'm like one of the only Trump Supporter / Conservative / Libertarian at my office.

Take a breath for a second.  If the GA elections hold, the Senate is tied, with a VP tiebreaker for the Dems, so just a slim advantage and not smooth sailing.  The other items  sound like they came from a book of old cliches.

For the first year, Biden will have his hands full largely with the pandemic and the mundane work of putting the government back together (for example, the state dept was gutted).

Obama had a much more favorable situation his first two years, with over 55 senators plus an independent or two.  It still took him over a year to pass healthcare, which seemed like all he worked on.  Things move more slowly than you think.

Also, barring a calamity and assuming the pandemic starts resolving, the economy can only get better in the mid term...we’re not at full employment, of course, and foreign trade should improve.

As far as inflation, who knows, but we haven’t seen it in 30+ years.

In short I’m going to enjoy the slow return to “normal” as the pandemic ebbs away before I start to worry about “socialism” or “communism”.

-Cheers

Biden is not a socialist and neither are most dems.  The environment will likely be: business as usual.  Also, Manchin is a very conservative dem in a very conservative state.

If the current results hold, the outcome will be historic.  Who would have thought a young Jewish guy and black pastor would be senators in GA. Initially, I was very doubtful about them winning in Georgia.  Then the POTUS continued to focus on himself and fraud allegations.  At the same time, there were videos of him playing lots of rounds of golf when the US needed legislative and executive action.  All he had to do was work hard and promote the GA GOP senators to give at least one of them a good chance to win.
