Lmao im half latino and half asian. My last name is latino/ hispanic sounding but I look pure asian.
you really should educate yourself on why these programs were put in place in the first place..
no no no I totally believe they were needed. I just think in 2020 they are becoming more and more futile.
Do you put down Asian or Hispanic on applications?
I put hispanic because for other races it says not hispanic/latino. I would be lying if that were the case. Often it has a mark for hispanic/latino. I also put 2 or more races if possible.
If I were you, I would. Since I'm me though, I would prefer you didn't.
Apply as Hispanic.
You meet the requirements. Take the advantage.
Dude you don’t make the rules, you just play by them. Do whatever is most advantageous for you. It’s commendable that you have the position you do, but get in however you can and let your work do the talking
Im 100% straight white male and I did an LGBT program to get a BB SA gig
How do they know if you are LGBTQ. Does someone shadow you? I’m genuinely curious about this.
I had an LGBT mentor that I was paired with, but it's totally up to you how much you take advantage of it. I just met with him once and we got lunch. I never really liked set-up formal mentorships though.
Can you elaborate on how this worked? You just said "I'm bi" and they said "ok, sounds good"?
There are formal LGBT recruitment events and programs for BBs
This guy don't wanna work, he's shook. There ain't no such thing as half-way diversity crooks. He's scared to work hard, scared to look At a fucking book Fuck a GPA, i'll just apply diversity all day
you should apply for the disabled diversity programs
I’m have the exact same background, half hispanic half white, and white last name. I have participated in diversity programs. My justification is that I’m just as white as I am hispanic. My mom (first gen) also tells me to use every advantage possible because that’s what everyone else is doing. I do at times feel kinda bad tho, being mixed is weird in that respect. I honestly think any less than half that you probably shouldn’t leverage it.
Probably go tan a bit more
Im going to the beach tomorrow bet
Im 1/4 And Use It
My Grandpas cousins college roommate was Mexican and I use it
Apply as Hispanic. I’m a straight Asian male and I might apply as a bisexual. You aren’t even being dishonest to say you’re hispanic. You literally qualify! Why say no to taking advantage of the bank’s shitty programs?
Why not. Last name hispanic?
Why wouldn't you go for it? If you don't take advantage of the diversity programs, somebody else will and get the spot regardless.
