Imperial Capital - Insight/Culture/Exit Opps?

Anyone with insight into Imperial Capital for Summer Analyst program? How is their New York office? Could one potentially lateral to a BB or top MM after SA here?

Don't know anything about NY, but have a good friend who interned in LA and then stayed on as an analyst. Sounds like they had decent junior culture but it did get pretty sweaty at times, and heard some bad stories including a senior banker who hit an admin w/ no repercussions. Highlights included annual Vegas trips which sounded pretty dope.

Yes. If you really want to lateral, I suggest picking up a PE or boutique IB internship this winter/spring. Anything else that can boost your resume to re-recruit for full time will help. Boosting gpa too.

That said, no EBs and very few BBs recruited for FT this year. It could be risky to decline a return offer from imperial and then recruit for very few, competitive positions for full time 2022.

EBs and BBs could very well be recruiting for FT next year. Would keep your eye on hiring as pandemic uncertainty continues.

Finally, imperial could still be a good bet for you if they have good culture and pay street average. Keep thinking about it and good luck.

hey man do you know if they are done recuriting for SA for ny office?

I have a second round coming up so I think they are still processing, what was the second round like? Technicals?
