There is limited info about this topic. Is there any practical way, precedent or suggestion to realize internal transfer from Asian desk to NY desk, in 1 or 2 years?
The problem here is that so far there has been little connection, such as deals and communications, between my desk and NY desk... I am trying but networking with NY desk, without deal background, is really difficult and time-consuming.
Here is my info: I am an Asian male working at an European bank (tier 2 BB, analyst level) in Asia (Tokyo / HK). Not only the offer itself is difficult to get but also the working visa is also a headache. So I guess internal transfer might be the most practical way for me at this stage.
