Internal transfer from Asia to NY

There is limited info about this topic.
Is there any practical way, precedent or suggestion to realize internal transfer from Asian desk to NY desk, in 1 or 2 years?

The problem here is that so far there has been little connection, such as deals and communications, between my desk and NY desk...
I am trying but networking with NY desk, without deal background, is really difficult and time-consuming.

Here is my info:
I am an Asian male working at an European bank (tier 2 BB, analyst level) in Asia (Tokyo / HK).
Not only the offer itself is difficult to get but also the working visa is also a headache.
So I guess internal transfer might be the most practical way for me at this stage.

Thanks in advance!
