JP Morgan CRE
I know JP Morgan's Commercial Real Estate Analyst program is part of their commercial bank, while Real Estate Asset Management is under Asset Management division of the company, but can someone just go into more specifics as to the differences in work/comp/groups?
What exactly would one be doing working as commercial real estate analyst in their commercial bank? Is it considered good and is it even worth it if later down the road I want to get into acquisitions/debt&equity investments?
Hi renycdc, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
Curious to hear comp, culture, etc.
In the commercial bank you would be on the lending side and in the asset management you would be on the principal side of transactions. I can't speak to comp since I haven't worked at either, but the same way that people transition from other large banks' lending departments to acq or dev it wouldn't be impossible to switch eventually.
