It is a front office position. Provides funding to other lenders - often non-bank financial institutions. Probably stuff like warehouse lines of credit (loc to fund lender in the interim before they execute a capital markets transaction, think securitization etc).
Hi - Thank you for sharing it! Just wanted to ask you few more. Do you know if salary will be aligned to other capital markets/IB positions? Also, do you know typical exits for this role.
I believe this would be a part of the corporate or commercial bank since they are lending money from the balance sheet. Basically, it is asset backed lending. Asset backed securitization or asset backed finance would be the IB equivalent (at most banks).
