Looking for advice

Hey guys,

I was hoping to get some of your opinions on my current situation.

Long story short, I just finished a summer internship in DCM at a top 5 canadian bank, and didn't get a FT offer back due to seemingly lack of interest in the business (was much more interested in industry banking). I graduate in May and currently have no job offer and wanted your opinions on some options.

  1. Finish school strong while constantly looking for openings in capital markets/banking/finance/consulting. Problem with this is that there doesn't appear to be any openings for the above mentioned fields at the moment, or only for people with some FT experience. Does anyone have any insight on openings post bonuses when people tend to leave? Also, do more FT positions tend to get posted around the new year?

  2. Start prepping for GMAT and apply to LBS' MFA program around March-April, and get a front office finance job in London/Europe upon completion. Does anyone have any insight into placement from the program?

Any advice would really be appreciated.

Thanks
