My "fund" made a 34% return this past year
Bought $5,000 of GOOG at 451 last July and sold last week at 608 for an annual return of 34%. To all the HF managers out there, I say "beat that!"
You jelly?

Do it again, then we'll talk.
U mad?
this post is dumb i have stocks that made over 100% returns with at least 10k invested but you dont see me bragging aight?
Sit down and please shhh
Please keep investing, we need more dumb money in this market
What a f*cking idiot.
ya, I shorted GOOG the other day at 598 and I'm def not bragging about that. I was sure that 60+ point single day pop would pull back. That's what I get for being "sure" about anything the market will do.
^ A very similar pullback happened to GOOG last year but it took some time. I'm sitting on all cash right now as I think shit's going to get real soon.
i love google right now
Lwt's be real. If your "fund" is in the millions, we'll talk. Small, high annual returns are easier. I've made over 30% in a quarter, but as Biggy once said, "Mo Money, Mo Problems"
Do it with $100mm and we'll talk
And why would someone pay you 2+20 to just buy Google for them?
oh yeah i once put 5 cents in a machine and it gave me $5. that's 9900% return in a matter of seconds. beat that!
Was this after you lost the other $95,000 of your "money" on updown.com?
Why would you buy GOOG with only a $5000 account? First of all, you shouldn't be putting all of a "fund's" stock in one stock. Even if you do, look at small cap - can get much higher returns that way.
By the way the reason you made that money is because a fund manager pumped that stock up. making 200% in a year with 10,000 dollars is much different than averaging a 20% ROI on millions.
A true trader or investor knows the importance of humility after ONE good trade. It's too bad you didn't/won't notify us on the impending losses you'll surely incur in the future.

Troll is successful. This is actually a good troll.
Actually I think you just fail at paying attention to detail for thinking it is a troll. He clearly knew the prices of GOOG and the huge price spike that happened last week friday.
If a person was actually wasting that much time researching profit techniques and not acting on them just to make a troll post then they deserve the comments. I prefer capital rewards but to each his own.
I normally wouldn't add anything to a thread like this, but I think everyone missed the big picture:
The Russell 3K returned ~ 35% over that same time period (depending upon exact start/end dates). Mr. Market wins again ...
Aww snap, JQB with the smack down.
Oh no he didddddddddddddnnnnnnnnnnnnnn't.
