New Chimp in the Jungle: Tushar Here...

Hulloooo, I am a Financial Engg. candidate from Chennai, India. With a keen interest to leverage my skills in the fields of Equities and Fixed Income Securities, I am partial towards topics like trading, research & valuation, derivative pricing, risk management and quantitative finance. Also an avid follower of capital markets.
Before I started pursuing the Course I had experience in Business Development, project management and project coordination in Commercial Real Estate & Power sectors, especially those based on the PPP format. I worked with an Indian infra-major for 2 years (almost) specifically on modeling and financially restructuring projects which had become stressed and unviable.
I have interned with Frost&Sullivan and worked on preparation of sell-side secondary research reports covering detailed description of the industry and business models, identification of the players in the value chain, in-depth market analysis, strategic drivers of the industry, potential targets and financial feasibility of any possible M&As and a quantitative characterization of the competitive environment
Open for consultancy and any assistance.
Specialties:
Financial Modeling
• Derivatives
• Project Management

Hi Tushar. It is my privilege to (I believe) be the first Quant to welcome you to WSO.

You're about to join a very interesting forum. There is also a community for MFEs called QuantNet.

If you're aiming for a job in NYC, may want to consider following up with a graduate degree in the United States. Having strong English communication skills are also very important for a US-based quant or trading role, if that is what you're aiming for.

Please tell your friends about WSO. We can always use more quants on the boards.
