Nomura IBD case study
Hi everyone,
I have a case study interview coming up with Nomura(UK) soon. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i can go about preparing for this.
cheers
(p.s. Note for our american friends: Nomura took over the remnants of Lehman in Europe)
I would also like to know
Hi Guys. I have my first round interview with Nomura UK for IBD next week. Would you be able to share with me what the case study is about for the interview? Thanks.
I had an odd case study when I interviewed with Nomura that centered around opening a dog grooming business. Seemed more or less like the limited number of consulting case studies that I did, so I'd assume preparation would be more or less the same. Obviously a stronger focus on finance though.
Mine was exactly the same a few years ago. Interviewer seemed to care about my knowledge of how a business functions more so than financials (which were primarily regarding industry drivers and growth/discount rate assumptions than anything else). I'd specify what sort of intuition they would like you to approach the case with. Good luck
Thanks Entendu. I have been told that a major aspect of the case study are the valuation multiples. And that I should know and be prepared to discuss why P/E and EV/Sales and EV/EBITDA and which to use when...was that the same case with you?
