Oz/Sculptor Capital Interview Advice (Ops)
Hey guys. So I am a non-target finance major graduating in May (sum cum laude with honors and a thesis). I’m well aware of all stigmas around operations and have done plenty of research evaluating all other options. Currently I’m really just looking for help better understanding the position I’m interviewing for and what I’ll be expected to know.
I have prior experience in operations (interned in prime brokerage settlements at a BB last summer) so I already understand most of the basics, but I was really only dealing with equity trades. If anyone could help me understand the processes involved with operations of derivatives/credit deals/structured products, I would really appreciate it.
Besides that, what is it like working at Sculptor Capital (or Och-Ziff, or Oz)? If anyone has any info about what it’s like since Shafir came in as CEO that would be the best. I’ve read all I can but most of it is prior to the name change and Och leaving. I’m getting the impression that they are successfully on the comeback trail here with inflows up and profits coming back.
