PIMCO Account Analyst - Thoughts?

Interested in gaining exposure in investment management, and was wondering if anyone had insight into the Account Analyst role at PIMCO? I may be interested in applying for next year. Thanks in advance!

Investor Relations. It can be a great and rewarding career- you have to know your product/fund/company inside out. Most people on WSO would advise you to stay away because you’ll be focused on the relationship management/client services side of the business, but if that’s your thing, go for it.

Had a superday for the same role. 7 interviews in 3.5 hours with very short breaks. I absolutely hated 4/7 of the interviewers (and for good reason). They tried to give off a “poker face” but they really came off as rude and disinterested. Note that at the same time I had SDs for wealth management at BBs and SDs with larger asset managers—not one interviewer at any of these places came close to being as bad as the 4 PIMCO interviewers. I don’t mean for this to reflect poorly on PIMCO as a whole, since the other 3/7 interviewers were great and very nice. I was just shocked by how bad the 4/7 were.
