A. You should mention that you have family in Hong Kong. You don't need to overplay it, but I imagine extending offers to people who would need to relocate is something that the firm would mull more if they didn't know you have strong ties to the area.

B. It seems like you should call, say that junior analyst is fine "title is not necessarily meaningful to you". The remarks you make about too experienced and "bored" of basic work are on the money. I imagine the firm would find it encouraging to hear that they can get a hard worker in the door at a lower pay grade... and I would also hope that you can discover during your due diligence of the firm that if your contribution is recognized, they will appropriately upgrade your salary, title, and responsibilities.

c.) Nothing to say re: Mandarin, not much you can do to help yourself here. I would comment that if you are ethnically Chinese, working with SE Asia Chinese private equity, it can be challenging for you if by appearance you would speak mandarin but in reality you cannot.

I see nothing wrong with saying "I've stressed that I really like this firm and the people I've met. I know you mentioned you're looking for Analysts to do more basic work - but I'm fine with that because I can still learn from such tasks and by being in the new environment, and will work hard to prove myself over time"?

Just don't be servile about it don't sound like you don't have pride in your own ability...I think it comes off as a net positive.
