i was under the impression any firm after the top 7 are not national but regional in nature. But I could be wrong.

Audit to banking'll be a tough one for ya. especially from a firm ranked 8 to 10. good luck to ya.

Thanks- ill work on the layout.

as far as the work experience is concerned, are you suggesting that i include more auditing related points? even tho (as i see them) they dont translate to banking?

if im looking at a resume i could care less what youve done in college other than gpa if youve graduated but thats more of a personal thing. I want to know what youve been doing since. Maybe highlight some of those previous positions with 2 bullet points on what you did there. I think your leadership positions were good but it takes half your resume and youve been out of school for 2 years. When someone looks at your resume they want to know what youve been doing for the past 2 years and if you have been doing things to benefit your resume and make you a strong candidate for the position.

i would actually just get rid of the other activities and interests section and use that space to increase the professional experience section. Also this may be picky but i would change it from collegiate experience to education or educational experience and reformat and put that near the top. Its going to be very difficult with a 3.3 and an accounting degree but if you network you definitely have a chance

thanks again for the tips. I'd SB if i could.

Once I've made the changes ill re-upload (most likely tm night), and if you could take a quick look again, id greatly appreciate it.

i know i face an uphill battle, but that wont deter me. for someone with my background, there's only one way in, and that is, as you said, via networking. thankfully, I legitimately enjoy talking to other people about what they do, what makes them tick, and their interests outside of work. that should make the networking process at least a little easier for me.

after that, i imagine its just about talking to enough of the right people and eventually someone will go to bat for me.
