Recreating a resume one year out of school
Hi all,
For a little bit of background, I have now been out of school for one year and have been working as a valuation consultant (not big-4 but still a national firm). In this time I have learned a lot, but have also realized that I would be much happier elsewhere, and could also be doing better compensation wise. That being said, I am not in a huge rush to get out, as I know a year is fairly short, however, I am wondering what my resume should look like as I start my search.
It is one of those things that you kind of forget about and becomes foreign when it is time to work on it again. Should I remove all extra curricular activities from school? Should it basically be one big section from my current job highlighting my experience with a blurb about my college internships? Should I include my current hobbies?
For some of the people that are older and more experienced, what would you look to see from a person in my position?
Thanks in advance.
