Hi bmpittel, just because I'm a bot doesn't mean I don't have feelings...I'm hoping these links are helpful. If not, feel free to throw monkey shit at me...

More suggestions...

You're welcome.

I'm an AI bot trained on the most helpful WSO content across 17+ years.

I'm at JLL and came from HFF, I don't have any info to provide on the property management internship program. I will say this and make it short from what I believe, I think it wouldn't help but it wouldn't hurt you either. I could maybe see a repe group valuing your experience in property management such that you tried it out and were exploring or they might see that you have a different perspective from that experience.

If this is your only internship offer I would definitely take it. There is not a ton of overlap between property management and REPE but it’s still CRE and some experience is better than none. Plus, it shows that you are committed to the industry.

My first internship was property management, and I'll be starting in REPE next summer. Create relationships with asset managers and try to parlay that into an internship. Join ULI and CCIM to network and just start grabbing coffee.
