SAT Scores Class of 2025 Not Required
Hey,
So I'm a bit late when it comes to researching for MBB. I'm currently a rising freshman attending a public ivy (with pretty good placement in MBB). This year scores for SAT and ACT were omitted for college apps, and I ended up not taking them. I've been researching management consulting a lot lately and I'm seeing everywhere how data points such as GPA, SAT, and GMAT are essential for MBB applicants and Big 4 applicants. What should be my course of action be if I haven't taken the SAT? Should I take it first semester freshman year in college (I know it is absurd but still)? Should I reach out to anyone in MBB and ask what the requirements for scores will be for the class of 2025. Or should I just skip applying for MBB and go for Big 4 instead?

These two statements are incompatible, don't stress yourself. You won't by applying for internships until junior year, so you have plenty of time to figure things out

Firms are going to figure out pretty quickly that they can't require it if good schools aren't. You don't need to do anything. If you're really worried, wait until sophomore/junior year and then ask the recruiter tagged to your school. Do not ask consultants what the requirements will be for 2025 -- either they've already waived the requirements in which case you'll hear by the time it's relevant, or they don't know because 2025 is so far in the future
Got it, thank you!
I'm sorry, "Public Ivy" isn't a thing. There are some solid public schools (UMich, Berkley), but they aren't Ivys.
