Should I leave PE for corporate? Paycut and lower title most likely
Hi,
I have come to the conclusion that PE is not for me. I envision myself striving for C-suite at a large corporation, or pursuing an entrepreneurial path later on opportunistically.
I am currently in my early thirties, heading M&A for a small country for a family office investment firm.
I am considering moving to London and switching over to a corporate role, in order to pursue a career at a large corporation, striving for a C-suite role later on in my life if I manage it.
This would however most likely require me to take a ”manager” level role at a corporate and thus a paycut of probably 50-100k (London pay is not great). Does this make sense for someone in their early thirties? Too late to pursue a corporate track, or any other ways to do it?
I also want more international experience under my belt, hence London.
Thanks for any advice.
