What are the best undergraduate degrees to become an exotics rates trader or equity derivatives trader?

I'm figuring out what degree to do to become a trader, ideally in exotics or rates trading or maybe structured credit. Should I do an economics, physics or engineering degree?

Get a PHD and work as a quant on the exotic rates desk for 3 years at least before transferring. Most of the big shots I see fall into this category Else: STEM masters and try to swim above the equations.

Or just network in a summer analyst program and get lucky
