Why is this forum all 15 year olds?

Posts on this forum now:

  1. High school students debating about 9 vs 10 figure salaries for HF and PE partners with intensive math to back it up

  2. Stock pitches of the most momo tech names over the past year, all of which are 20-30x revenue

  3. a post calling for value investing’s death in favor of momentum trading

Is this the top?

Funniest

I'm WEAK. Could not agree more, this has to be one of the most accurate posts on this site in recent weeks. So many random kids asking about comp and then there's this idiot kid named PodMonkey who posts the dumbest shit possible. There is one kid here that I respect and who know's his shit -- shaquille_oatmeal_official. Man if I knew the shit this kid knew when I was 17 life would be so different.

I started posting on this site when I was 13 but this is like my 10th account. Now I am 18 tho so I’ve probably been on this site longer than most people going off the average person is a college student or young analyst.

The posts you're complaining about are just as painful to read as this one. It's a miserable cycle: aforementioned 15 year olds post trash... bitter monkeys post trash in response to the 15 year old's trash... aaand repeat

Look, anyone who is an adult appreciates time a lot more than younger people. If you are in your 30s, have a job, family, kids, and a dog or cat... where exactly would you take the time to post on WSO?

Hanging out on internet forums, reddit, forums, chat rooms, et al is for people who have nothing more serious to do.

And yeah, I hang out here because I am WFH and have a tab with WSO open to have some variety from creating slideware or having awful calls with my team.

While this may be true for some, people in professional capacities spend the same amount of time on shit that I consider stupid aka religiously following professional sport leaderboards. Adults do have time for WSO, they just choose to spend it on activities that are more stimulating for them, like following sports.

To be frank, I have gotten to an age in life where there are less good years in front of me as behind.  I made it a resolution to share more.  Even total strangers on a very good board.  I have had a handful of folks already reach out and we have spoken for half hour at a time.

I owe.  I have red in my ledger that i need to clear.  Sharing experiences and wisdom is the one currency I have to give back. I have learned to make time.  Its like charity work...without having to run the bake sale.

Am in my senior year of high school and mainly just read here for advice on schools and recruiting. I just try to soak all the information up when I am bored. I never really feel comfortable commenting anything as you guys know much more. shaquille_oatmeal_official you know your stuff bro
