My view is if you aren't in the office yet, it'll likely get pushed to January 2022. I expect cases to spike in NYC in the coming weeks coinciding with employers' current plans to bring employees back
I think it's just delaying the inevitable, I'd guess we all still go back to the office, whether it's september or november, it's happening sweetheart

We're not required back in the office yet (nyc based), if you do want to go to the office you have to be vaxxed. I don't expect mandatory back-to-office any time soon with the Delta uptick, based on the messaging from the top of the food chain.

I think the answer is yes, you'll be going back into the office. Vaccinations will probably be required for everyone who is going in to at least New York and maybe you'll see rotating schedules. People like Jaime Dimon and DJ D. Sol really hate juniors potentially goofing off while working from home.

Cases are irrelevant if the hospitals aren’t overwhelmed… delta isn’t causing hospitalization among the vaccinated, so I don’t think it impacts anything other than furthering the push for vaccines. You may see more firms firing people who aren’t vaccinated (see Related Cos) and bringing everyone else back in. We’re continuing full speed ahead for post-Labor Day reopening
My office reopening date has been pushed to October. Originally, it was a September reopening

In other fields? Absolutely. In banking? Not sure. The hardo mentality makes me lean towards them trying to push at least a hybrid approach beginning sooner rather than later. Personally, I like the hybrid approach best, so I don’t really mind, but that’s just me.

Looks like Amazon just pushed their return to Jan. 2022. Wouldn't be surprised if this sets off a domino effect for other large institutions, including banks.
My bank started rolling people back into the office in June and those who have "gone back" have been going in maybe 2x a week.
Plan that my firm re-iterated 1-2 weeks ago is to go in after Labor Day. Know multiple people who recently ended up with the Delta variant (despite being fully vaccinated) including someone at my firm so I wouldn't be surprised if we push back a bit longer, especially if a couple of other people end up getting it.
People who are not vaccinated will not be allowed into the office.
call me crazy but I want to get in the office at least once a week. I just finished up a ~15 month stint at a shop working remotely having never met the team. started remotely for another shop... keen to meet them in person.
