Northwestern Summer Classes

Hey guys, so I have decided to attend nNorthwestern next fall as an incoming transfer student. Would any of you recommend taking summer classes to complete a few distribution requirements as well as take 1-2 major classes (econ)? I am currently interning at a family friend's technology company within the corp. finance segment, mainly writing and analyzing financial reports about the company. Additionally, would it be advisable in trying to graduate within three years (I have already spent 1 year at Baylor and would not have to take out loans even if I spent an additional year (3 more quarters) at NW, but I would ideally like to graduate in three years and land a nice consulting/banking gig)?

You'll be losing out on junior intern. No internships means good luck trying to get that consulting/banking gig.

Doubt many places have spots available for soph interns. Most BBs don't.

Sorry to break it to you, but Nomura isn't a BB haha.

No.

Don't count on Uncle MD being able to get an intern for you so easily - he's no longer in the industry and thus his reach will only go so far. It'll be up to you to ask him to make the connections, then convince those people that you are worth taking a chance on. And NWU is not as much of a target as comparable colleges in NY (NYU) are treated, and from what I know, the place is super competitive, filled with brilliant folks. Remember, being a transfer does not mean you're the smartest (but one of the the smart ones), but NWU is a big pond with lots of big fish who want to go inside the fishermen's nets.
