Whats your investment strategy?

Topic title says it all. S&P is down something like 9% ytd, my portfolio is getting absolutely hammered which got me wondering if the way I invest sucks. I trade only stocks, and rely on some technical indicators (moving averages, RSI, etc). I do take a quick look at a company's net income but really don't do much on a fundamental analysis (personally don't think DCFs are very applicable here). I also like to see what the institutional investors are doing (eg. if Blackrock buys/sell a stock or something like that). Do yall believe in timing or time-in the market?

Note: I just started last year and am still incredibly amateur but wanted to get some insights from some of the PMs on this forum.
