MF Debt/Equity Brokerage Houston
After some consideration, I want to start my career coming out of university at a debt or equity brokerage shop specifically for multifamily transactions.
What firms should I look out for that have a multifamily debt and equity placement team?
If I were to guess ... Newmark's debt/equity placement team would be #1 in Houston followed by JLL/CBRE/Cushman&Wakefield?
Does anyone have any insight?
No idea but JLL’s Wally Reid is pretty sharp from what I hear.

It looks like CBRE only has the specialized teams in Houston (i.e., Senior Housing).

John fegnolio runs the de group for them. Obviously insanely sharp as he was a founder of HFF. His analyst seems to get good exposure. Same with senior housing. Know someone on that team and he has tons of deal flow. Really sharp team.

Tons of deal flow, great exposure to capital partners, and juniors get a lot of responsibility. That team is pretty blue blood houston families though. If you are one, great, and if not you likely need an intro to someone on the team and have them put in a word with the rest of the team.
