When I was in my 20s or teens, my confidence was unfounded arrogance with a large dose of ignorance and naïveté. As I approach 40, my confidence has been backed up, affirmed, confirmed, and the arrogance now has more of a steady foundation.

It’s funny because that first one I posted in early 2018 that got all the MS seems like a less lean stage for me now looking back a year ago.
Without all the mirror selfies, I wouldn’t have known. I specifically take a picture of the main components of my gear and nutrition; physique is a part of it. I feel relatively ok being arrogant. I’m not actually insecure. My strength is derived from clear facets of my faith and support system. I need not worry about my body impressing others to receive dopamine for me personally - I don’t really get off on that. But, it is a visual means of progress and when you’re putting in 20-30hr weeks in training, it’s nice to know the affect and result vs effort, nutrition and other factors.
I’m down to a 31 waist - was 32 last year. Stronger and faster now. I don’t see any plateus in sight and have been getting solid gains for 10mo - straight up natty. Gotta live healthy.
