San Diego if you could have any job there for the following reasons... - weather - temperate weather year round - girls - best looking girls as a result of the temperate weather (they have to be in bikinis year round and always tan) - night life - not too expensive (sick clubs downtown to complete bottles dichotomy and great college scene in pacific beach are) - also - great surf, 3-hour drive to snow, and easy access to both beach town and city life per your preference
Damn. I was thinking the same thing. I heard girls at San Diego State University are some of the hottest women on the planet. I kinda wish I went there for college (seriously thinking about going there for grad school)
how is cost of living in San Diego? How does cost of living in San Diego compare to LA or NYC?
Definitely, my girlfriend goes to SDSU and her Sorority chapter was recently named "the hottest sorority in the US" by Playboy. The school sucks though, don't go there for anything but partying.
It depends on where you live in San Diego but cost of living in San Diego is comparable to LA depending on the area and much lower than NYC. To give you an idea, sharing a house in San Diego by the beach for a nice room costs 1000 a month. Drinks in PB cost 3/drink and in downtown 10/drink.
haha, thx for your reply. btw, do u know how the cost of living at SD would compare to Chicago? I am from Chicago, and if cost of living is similar to Chicago, that would give me a good idea of how things are there.
Also, I am kinda fed up with a bunch of ugly girls walking around my college campus. nowadays, due to lack of hot women on campus, i am having erection problems. i go to an Ivy, and we are always ranked as the most un-fun, depressing, and ugliest girl-campus in the nation. So, fuck that.
I am deciding if I should take a 2nd tier consulting job offer after college, or go do 1-year Masters in Finance/ Accounting at a fun school such as San Diego State University to land a Big4 Accounting job. Although I got a decent job offer, the location of that job sucks (either Philly or Boston), so that got me to think if i should ditch that job offer and do masters at a fun school in SoCal.
Btw, if you happened to know about the partying scene at San Diego State, could you elaborate on it please? Do people have a lot of fun there? Do they have strong / active frat scene? Can you join a frat as a grad student? I am toying with the idea of doing a grad school, but want to take a vacation at the same time, if you know what I mean, lol.
I'll send you a PM.
Are you serious about going from Ivy to SD State? Aiming for Big 4 when you have a consulting job offer? Troll?
No, I am not trolling.
There are personal reasons for this.. I haven't decided on anything yet, but I am toying with this idea as of now.
I got a no-name small consulting job offer but the location of that job sucks. It is either Boston or Philly. I couldn't stand living in a shit-hole like Philly for 3-4 years and waste my 20s...
I wanted I-banking job this year, but got shut out. Right now, i got second tier consulting offer, but I am not too happy about it. So, I was thinking I might as well go to some really hard-core party school in a fun city and enjoy my second college life and bang a bunch of hot girls, if you will. Then, end up with a Big4 accounting gig, which isn't bad, compared to the job offer I have in hand. Now, if I got an offer from MBB consulting, Monitor, Oliver, or some elite shop like that, then fuck yeah, I would take that offer ASAP.
I was in a frat, I go out to drink every weekend, I do hard core partying, and I made some very good friends at my college, but girls at my college absolutely fucking suck balls. I swear like half the girls in my college look like dudes with long hairs, and I am not even exaggerating. To say the least, I didn't have the best partying last four years, and I feel like I missed out on a more 'fun' and hardcore partying college experience with a shit ton of hot girls... Lately, I got to think how I only get to live only once and I should try to have the most fun possible in early 20s. So, in that respect, I guess going to a school like SDSU, Texas, or USC for grad school is not bad move.
Went to engineering school in Chile, fugly girls, don't put out, no money to party, shitty parties, etc. Early 20's were a total wash, I used to feel bummed out.
Guess what? Late 20's are pretty fucking awesome. It's like early 20's but your metabolism is slower and you have some gray hairs. I'd stay at the best school you can get, and then move to a big market for talent (lots of girls, take your pick, NYC, LA, whatever) where you can get a high-paying job that leaves you some time to spend the money.
Haha, the girl situation sounds horrid (I guess I understand). Texas, USC, maybe UCLA I understand. I was just kinda stunned by Big 4 accounting option: 2nd-tier Consulting, imo, is still a lot better in terms of exit ops than Audit experience if you eventually want to move into banking. I interned with a Big 4 but didn't take their offer because I realized this. It could work out differently for you though.
Texas for sure
i've only been to Dallas and Austin. Dallas honestly looked like a glorified version of mega suburb with like 3 buildings and no fun stuff. plus it was way too hot last time i visited, like 100 degree in July. I hear the women are hot there, though.
Austin.
Because its Austin.
Low taxes, lake travis, awesome stuff to do both indoor and outdoors, cheapish real estate.
a lot of people seem to love Austin. my cousin attends U Texas in Austin and he loves it, though. amazing sports, nice bars, good night life, cheap, and tons of hot girls.
how does Austin compare to San Diego in terms of livability, desirability, and cost of living
since I didn't end up getting i-banking analyst gig though, I am thinking I should just go ahead, fuck around, and enjoy my life most possible then go to top mba and come into banking as an associate.
i hear Big4 accounting won't likely to get you direct exit options to high finance but more of back office roles, but i also hear they have good placement record into top MBA programs. honestly, i am not sure if I stand good chance at top 10 MBA down the road out of no-name second tier consulting shop, compared to Big4 accounting which is more recognized brand. if i go Masters accounting ->> big4 accounting --> top ten MBA, then getting I-banking after that point shouldn't be too difficult.
also, working at a no-name consulting shop for 70-80 hours a week for 60-65k salary, in a fucking shit-hole like Philly, isn't too enticing.
and, no, you have no clue how shitty girls are here at my college lol. I could only fuck girls here only if i am shit drunk and high as fuck, but could never do it under sober conditions. there is a reason my sex at my school happens only after weekend hardcore partying, but never during the weekdays, lol.
lastly, i hear big4 employers don't give a shit about the rank of your school as long as you have 3.5+ gpa. So, I might as well go to the most party intensive school with the hottest girls in the most fun city, and not worry about the school's rank
the way i see it -- Austin is kind of like a hybrid of chicago and boston between the people and types of things to do but put in a warmer climate, Houston is like NYC with an LA layout (there are lots of arts stuff to do and lots of intellectuals from the energy and healthcare fields and finance), and Dallas is like LA.
austin has a lot of tech, deloitte consulting is located there, whole foods... not much for finance
Austin doesn't have major finance but they have several good small firms. I went to school in Austin.

From small city in Eu to US: which city? (Originally Posted: 07/05/2017)
Monkeys,

I love big cities, skyscrapers and similar stuff and I love The USA. (especially given the latest Brexit news)
NYC is too expensive, but hey, is NYC. I also considered Houston, Austin, Boston, Nashville etc.
I would like to come for study as you have seen from my other posts about Fordham UTA Vandy etc.
Cheers
Santa monica would be a sweet place for a single guy making great money. Perfect weather, close to the beach, close to L.A. nightlife, hot chicks everywhere. Or if you get a job at PIMCO, you can live in newport beach and be a big swinging dick there.
wow... this sounds like a dream. I googled santa monica beach and that place looks sick
For NYC you need a lot of money. Low money=bad lifestyle. Anyway this is balanced with the wages. About the other cities I suggest Texas: low taxes, low cost of life, high wages and great lifestyle! You can't go wrong! But everything depend on what you like. Hope it can help
Ty Steve
Depends what you're looking for. NYC is great if you make a lot of money and also want access to a lot of Italian markets and products. Boston is similar. DC is interesting also because there are a lot of international cultures and influences here, but it's more government and politics related so not sure if you're into that. Texas has a great cost of living generally and is a lot of fun in certain places. I think Chicago would be great though, it's got a really good blend of neighborhoods and is a large city, but at the same time is very affordable compared to other places in the states.
This is great. Thanks for your point man! Btw I read Boston is the more Eu city in US
Take a look at Philly. Big city amenities, (relatively) low cost of living, on the 50 yard line of the northeast corridor so you're close to NY/DC for day trips, close to beaches/mountains. Probably one of the most "European" cities in the US - old narrow streets, very walkable/bikeable, big food/drink culture etc. Most people on WSO will shit on it because they went to Penn in the '90s but the city has made transformative changes in the last decade or so.
Finance scene is small and insular though which sucks.
This is exactly what I thought about. I've never been there but saw a few photos and video on the internet. Looks amazing! If I'm not wrong @TNA" is from Philly. Do you know good university for breaking into Philly job market? I saw Nova, Vandy, Lehigh close, or Boston University for North
It's cool but you get tired of meth heads screaming at you, crime and drugs everywhere, trash everywhere, high taxes, incompetent city government, and ugly dilapidated rowhomes. The city doesn't even sweep its streets. The weather is grey and shitty 9/12 months of the year. I know all cities have their problems but philly is exceptional. I lived there for 6 years, it will take a lot for me to go back.
Charlotte, Atlanta and Miami all come to mind.
Miami for party all day long sounds great! But I don't think there are IB there, only PWM
You sound like a good friend of mine from Ravenna who went to uni in Bath got an MBA atand is now at a well known tech firm doing extremely well.
Stick with big cities, like NYC and SF. Stay away from Boston.
Haha Italians are strange people man trust me! We have 20000 ideas for minute! :D Anyway, NYC and SF sounds good. Why I should avoid Boston? I read is the most European city in US.
Fun fact: Texas is the only state in the United States that was a country
Bob you know that you make me a Texas lover. Definitely
I lived in Houston for 18 years, Austin for 4 years for university, and now I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Here is my opinion on the Texas cities:
Houston Pros: One of the great energy cities of the world, world's largest medical district - the Texas Medical Center, great restaurants with cheap food, huge diversity of people, large city with lots of resources, main universities are Rice University - prestigious/top 30 and University of Houston - an average university, very friendly people, warm climate all year (think Rome or possibly even hotter than that), cheap rent. The city is growing rapidly with lots of opportunities. The center of the city, or "inside the loop" as we call it, is quickly becoming a nice spot for young people. Cons: Finance careers not as developed as cities like New York City, San Francisco, or Chicago. Job selection has improved, though many people still work in healthcare, energy and energy finance, aeronautics - home of NASA.
Austin Pros: Growing technology industry, a city known for its live music and music festival scene, great food, great parks, good university - The University of Texas, not too expensive, another rapidly growing city with great opportunities. Cons: Traffic can be terrible. I think it is worse in Austin than Houston. Some of the charm of Austin goes away as more people move to the city. Rent is not too expensive, but it increases closer to downtown. Finance and business are still underdeveloped compared to the large cities, but companies like Deloitte do have a presence here.
Dallas/Fort Worth I just moved here, so I am going to wait before giving a full assessment. It's a large, prosperous area, much like Houston. Cost of living is low, food is good, rent is low, people are friendly, etc. A little less diverse in terms of people compared to Houston, but DFW might be a little more diverse in terms of the industries that do business here.
Sarcasm?
Go to OSU we were rated the fittest college in the nation,,, soooooo many fucking hot girls here its not fucking believeable, and its ohio state..... party all day, and the job recruitment here isnt bad either 2 for business by USNews.
Soo many hot White bitches here, hot asian, hot black, hot indians, hot hispanic you can have any piece of the random and it will be great!
JPM is HUGE in columbus, nationwide, carinal health, 60 billion dollar fund STRS a AM fund. Lots of things here. And its ohio you get rent here for like 400 bucks. You can get 15,000 sq foot homes for like 800k, but it prolly not a place to live your 20's in for sure. Its just OSU is filled with the hottest girls ever.....
Best sports cities in the US (Originally Posted: 11/28/2013)

damn, bro. OSU girls really that good??
OSU would be a fun place to go, except I am not a fan of that school's location. I am rather sensitive as to where and what city i live in. nothing against OSU, but I would probably shoot myself if i end up with a job in Columbus, Ohio
Why would anyone with better options go to ohio state? It's a mediocre state school at best.
And Columbus is a shithole. Tons of better college towns out there.
Boston > New York > Chicago = Dallas > Philly
This is considering NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB.
Boston sports fans are the worst human beings on the planet.
Dallas is #1, followed by Houston, and then who gives a shit about anywhere else?
I'd Chicago before NYC but thats just me. Also, Pittsburgh >>> Dallas for sports, no doubt.
St. Louis for baseball
Well certainly not NY this year. Past 10 years Boston has been straight dominant winning numerous titles in all major sports. Tradition wise I give NY a slight edge
I understand the bias towards the East Coast (finance and all) and there have simply been more championships on the EC, true. But what is with recognizing any Texas team before Los Angeles? I hate LA as much as anyone but they are top a top 5 sports city for championships and just pure popularity.
Also: the EC has simply had sports for longer. But NYC for example, like 80% of their major sports championships took place before the 80's when the leagues were still super EC centralized. Tradition points, sure. Best sports city? Ask the Giants, Jets and Knicks.
The Giants have won 2 superbowl in the past 5 years, LA doesn't even have a football team. LA has the Lakers and thats about it
Point taken. I hate the Lakers, but they have been a dominant basketball team. And as my sports fandom is predominantly NBA-centric, I cede my argument.
And no NFL team in LA still blows my mind. LA is so backward.
LA had the Rams for a while, but then they moved to St. Louis. You're right, though. It just seems weird that smaller markets like Nashville, Tennessee and Buffalo, NY have NFL franchises when LA doesn't.
we're not at the top, but i'll make a case for our fans (Seattle) as an up and comer
12th man, best home field advantage in football We avg 35-40k for our Sounders (MLS, the freaking MLS!!) NCAA: Huskies always draw very well both in football (70k) and bball (high % of sell outs) We still show love for our Mariners even though they haven't had a winning season for 10+ years We willget a basketball team back and support the hell out of it, nhl too possibly
If we had kept the Sonics we would have Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Felix Hernandez, Russell Wilson, AND Clint Dempsey. Speaking of which...this is kind of depressing, in my childhood we had Randy Johnson, Griffey, and Arod all at the same time, how did we not win a championship?
No fans more loyal, vocal, or at times pyschotic than Philly fans. E A G L E S -- EAGLES!
Obviously the answer is Cleveland....
What actually sparked my interest in this was ESPN's average attendance per game. Obviously this differs slightly from year to year, but you can kinda see where the big names are in the complete rankings.
NFL
Dallas - 86,910 NY (Giants) - 80,495 Washington - 79,654 NY (Jets) - 79,088 Denver - 76,632
NBA
Chicago - 21,876 Dallas - 20,036 Miami - 19,982 Portland - 19,829 Golden State (SF) - 19,373
MLB
LA (Dodgers) - 46,216 St Louis - 41,602 San Francisco - 41,584 NY (Yankees) - 40,488 Texas (Dallas) - 38,759
NHL
Chicago - 21,424 Montreal - 21,273 Detroit - 20,066 Philadelphia - 19,725 Toronto - 19,389
If you see the rankings on ESPN, you can actually see the attendace as a percentage of the venue capacity.
Chicago gets hurt on this because they have one of the smallest NFL stadiums and MLB stadiums which, obviously, pushes their numbers down.
Same with Boston, plus actual population concentration makes a difference.
Pretty sure MSG is on the smaller side as well, Knicks/Rangers sell out but won't have 20,000+ people.
Dallas (Cowboys Stadium) can also hold over 100,000 people as well.
Miami has the worst fans of any major city in the US, that I'm sure about.
There really are just 4/5 sports cities. Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philly/Pitt, and Detroit.
GTFO Texas. Dallas and Houston have absolutely no history compared to those cities.
Dallas...the fans are damn loyal for the Mavs
Where's Detroit on this list? Detroit has a major sports team in each league (Redwings, Lions, Tigers and Pistons) and two great NCAA schools; Michigan State and the University of Michigan (largest stadium in college football).
Does anyone here actually watch baseball? I'm curious. I consider myself a pretty big sports fan (religiously read Grantland, ESPN.com is my homepage, etc), but I stopped actively following MLB once the Steroid Era ended. (Not a moral thing. I mean like, the sport was less interesting to me when people stopped hitting home runs.)
Don't think I'm the only one, either. Most of my buddies follow the NFL, college football, and the NBA.
To answer OP's question, think you gotta do it by sport:
MLB 1. St. Louis 2. Boston 3. New York 4. Chicago 5. San Francisco (This will sound crazy, but check the % attendance records.)
NFL 1. Pittsburgh 2. Green Bay 3. Dallas 4. Chicago 5. New York
For those saying "Where's Boston??": nobody gave two shits about the Patriots until Belichick and Brady started winning. Boston is a baseball town first, and then basketball town second. It's not Pittsburgh, where people build their Sundays around the Steelers' schedule.
NBA 1. Los Angeles (far and away #1) 2. Boston 3. New York 4. San Antonio 5. Chicago
Spurs fans are annoying as shit, but they show up.
NHL 1. Detroit (far and away #1) 2. ??? 3. ??? 4. ??? 5. ???
I don't know anything about hockey.
Plenty of people I work with follow baseball. I also think Detroit doesnt have the lock down on NHL as there are definitely other cities that follow it as well (Boston and Chicago come to mind)
one must distinguish between a "sports town" and the options for watching sports in any given city. In NY there are many teams and millions of passionate fans, but NYC is not a "sports town" the way boston, philly, or St Louis are because we have other things to do. So even when the Yankees win the World Series (I hate the Yankees) or the Giants win the super bowl (I AM a big giants fan) and you see 3 million people at the parade still half the city doesn't give a fukk. There is just too much other stuff going on in NY. And when the teams are bad attendance will dip massively for the same reason...in the mid 80s the Yankees couldn't get 20,000 to show up in the Bronx and they were close to moving actually. So I think NY is a great place to be a sports fan but its never going to be a place where the community rallies behind a team and there is the cohesiveness like there is in "small town USA" (which is everywhere else basically).
I tend to agree with this. I don't know what town I would have said was the best, but probably somewhere where the SEC plays. It seems the entire town goes apeshit over the team whether they're great or mediocre.
Also the fact that you have have two teams for each sport. Mets and Yankees fans hate each other, Giant and Jet fans hate each other, etc etc. The city will never really rally behind one team.
oakland son
BOSTON
End of discussion.
PS- happy Thanksgiving ya filthy animals!
MLB 1. St. Louis 2. Boston 3. New York 4. San Francisco 5. Philly
NFL 1. Green Bay 2. Pittsburgh 3. New York 4. Dallas 5. Chicago
NBA 1. LA 2. Boston 3. San Antonio 4. Miami 5. Chicago
NHL 1. Montreal 2. Toronto 3. Boston 4. Winnipeg 5. Calgary
Happy TGiving!
OVERALL, I have to go back to my original five: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia and also add Detroit.
Best sports cities by what measure? team performance? best fans? most loyal fans? etc.
In terms of performance if you look over the past 10 years at all major cities with at least 3 teams (in any of the major sports - NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL) and assign scores as follows (1 - at least 0.500 season, 2 - reached playoffs, 4 - reached conference finals, 6 - reached finals, 8 - won finals) then the top performing cities adjusted for number of teams are:
If you just take the raw scores and don't adjust for number of teams (e.g. LA has 6 teams across the 4 sports vs. Boston has 4) then the following are the top cities in terms of performance:
I get what you're trying to prove, but it's unbelievably biased towards Boston. Why look at just 10 years? The "best" and "most loyal" fans almost always stem from team's past success(es). That's how fan-bases are built.... 10 years is blindly ignoring history. Dare to expand your performance factor? Watch the 27 world championships run the table. Ahem, 1918-2004...
And you mention 4 sports teams for Boston? If New England counts as "Boston", then you have to expand geographically or by state...so New York would then have 11 teams?
Detroit is poor as hell and still packs stadiums and arenas. 1. Boston 2. Pittsburgh 3. Detroit 4. Chicago 5. Philadelphia
Cali is a terrible place to live if you want to get rich.

honestly, i don't give a shit about becoming rich. as long as I get a decently high paying job that is kinda interesting, i care about the location, city i live in, social life with friends, clubbing/ drinking, quality of life, and girls.
Detroit is the least favorite city to visit? Who would of guessed that one?
What up 415!?
LA and Atlanta? Mindblowing. How is LA worse than St. Louis or some other midwest metro area
Are they talking about LA country or LA city limits? Are they including BH, SM, etc. Or is it just the City of LA... cause i could see why if its just the city
nm
That's the price you have to pay for the nice ass weather
nm
If you wanna live in Hicksville, USA pounding Natty Lights on a Tuesday night go for it lol
.
Dude Milwaukee is the freaking capital of Hicksville USA. I don't say this criticizingly, I grew up in the upper midwest and its a great part of the country if you can tolerate the winter weather. The people are just from a different cloth. Are they hicks? Oh yeah.
Vegas most overrated? Really?
Dude, middle America voted in this shit, you don't see how they might think Vegas is overrated? The only images they have of Vegas are those of how the rich experience it. They can't afford the Vegas that they're imagining.
nm
what's so great about san fran?
(nb: not trolling)
This survey has no validity if Vegas is the most overrated. Regardless of your budget, Vegas has something for everyone.
Hell, I'll admit when I was in college and went there I just played $3 blackjack at O'Sheas and a few other places. Cheap, but I still had a BLAST.
St. Louis is actually pretty nice if you can handle the size and limited options. It's been a little while since I've been there, but I always had a good time going out in the landing. Also, I was in some pretty sweet houses that were only a couple hundred thousand. There are a lot of pluses to St. Louis, but they are limited.
To the dude who said St Louis would be great if they attracted more business and got rid of crime - that's any city in the world.
Milwaukee - Summerfest is fun, baseball stadium is nice - all hicks
For Vegas its probably more like people expect it to be out of this world experience, and once you show up, its kind of a "that's it?" feeling. For us, younger guys, its pretty easy to go bonkers and make it a ridiculous night. But for a 40+ yr old couple with 2 kids, I can see how miserable it can be. You can only play slots or walk around for so long.
Atlanta blows, especially for tourists. Take out the restaurants and club/bars, all you have is an aquarium, Coke factory and CNN Center.
Parents moved to Milwaukee a few years ago. I actually think it's one of the least "hick" cities in the Midwest. Anything west of Marquette is really nice (pretty much all of downtown, 3rd Ward, UW-M area, beach, etc.). The suburbs are only beat by Chicago in the Midwest. Mequon is ridiculous, Brookfield is nice, Port Washington is beautiful.
Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati take the "hick" title for me.
Perhaps Vegas was rated "overrated" b/c of it's size. It's surprisingly small. I like the Portland rating, the PNW is absolutely beautiful.
1) Vegas is not overrated. If you are 40, married and have 2 kids your life sucks, not Vegas. I read an article recently on Vegas and most people who go don't even gamble, they just eat and see shows. I have been twice and love it.
2) Yes, Detroit does suck. The crime there is out of control.
They're probably talking about the city itself, but when most people refer to LA, they're talking about LA county, which is the shit
I actually don't think Atlanta is bad at all
Best Places to find IBD Analyst Jobs for FT Now (Originally Posted: 11/11/2013)

they have DFA.. and thats pretty much all i can think of lol what else heister other than the nanotech VC firms? and prolly some smaller MM tech firms id imagine.
They do have DFA. But DFA also has an office in santa monica, which is preferable to austin, in my opinion.
Dell is headquartered there, as is a bunch of other tech firms.
MM and EB's pretty much done as well. Definitely for NYC. Maybe trying to fill spots on a one off basis, but really wouldn't count on it.
Time to start cold-calling regional boutiques...
Anywhere and everywhere.
Get on the horn and make those calls. Boutiques may have openings, but those are random (Actually that is most places for IB not matter size).
1) People lateral and leave 2) Bonus -> leave 3) No promotion to associate -> leave 4) Burnout (rarer)
Openings are actually quite frequent

Which states are most of the risk management desks located at? Im considering moving to either Charlotte, NY or Chicago, leaning more towards Chicago due to the cost of living
However Ive been browsing several banks and realize that majority of the risk jobs are located in NY? Is this true or this simply a timing issue?
Will be trying to get a FT job off-cycle if that matters
Thanks
Cali I thought would be a dream at first, but the Cost of living seems to high there. Also its a failing state.
California politics and job concerns aside, if you had to pick one place purely on the girls, the weather, and the parties - you would all pick San Diego.
Flawed logic, that's what got us into this mess we are in now. Let's just ignore that this idiot over here makes 50 grand a year lets loan him money for a 500k house.
Any monkeys working in risk able to provide some insight?
as is new york!
Ya man Big 4 doesn't care about anything as long as you have a functioning brain in terms of selectivity.
Try Arizona State Univ.
You won't be disappointed.
Thx for your feedback. I want to check out Arizona State, but they don't have masters of accounting program, i don't think. Also, I don't want to end up with a job in Arizona. I want to end up with a job in SoCal, so USC or SDSU may be better options for me because recruiting for jobs is regional.
I google searched Arizona State girls. They were voted #1 hottest girls/ party girls in the nation by playboy, but #1 in STD rate as well. If I end up there, I will make sure to bring a package box of Trojans condoms.
Yea not too many jobs there I think LA or SF would be better if u wanna live in Cali.
SF is a shit hole of festering shit.
Why all the hate? You sound biased.
I like San Francisco. It is a beautiful city, with gorgeous architecture.
But I wouldn't wanna live there over SoCal. Cost of living is only second to NYC and girls are fugly there. SF is definitely a great place to visit, though
If you're picking a school based on partying and getting laid, then SDSU or ASU are your best bets. I would take SDSU over ASU for location, but the girls are sluttier at ASU.
sounds amazing.. I love slutty hot college girls that know how to have fun and know how to please men. I love flirting with girls and flirting gets only better when the girl is proactive, receptive, and horny
I see, Well are there any goog high finance jobs in SoCal? I will be working in SF this summer
There are some big buyside firms in L.A. You have oaktree, pimco, canyon capital, gores, ares, leonard green, capital group, DFA, etc.
San diego barely has any finance. The only firm i can think of is brandes, which is an elite deep-value fund.
SF has a lot of vc, private equity, and some hedge funds, most notably farallon, passport, watershed.
why do you want to be an investment banker than?
Brady don't start this shit again.
yea brady, working in LA for LG would be a dream, since i hear the comp there is crazy good plus the fact that its in LA so i mean its a great lifestyle area too.. traffic is 1 problem, but I dont worry too much about the traffic
Assuming a standard distribution you should expect to only see one 9 for every ten or so 5s.
However, the reason girls in So Cal are so much hotter generally has nothing to do with the locale being a "draw of hot girls." The real reason is how much skin (because of the weather) girls get to show. Since all the girls can now see how skinny and tan the other girls actually are (no snow jackets to hide those rolls) a methporical hotness arms race ensues. In order to be considered attractive they must become tanner and skinnier than their competition, resulting in SD having the best looking girls nationwide. This focus on image also results in probably some of the lowest selfesteem nationwide, which may make hooking up easier if your the type to capitalize on that.
This is a good point, but i think there are several other factors as well..
for example, San Fran has a nice weather too, but is nowhere close to San Diego/ OC area in terms of quality of women... San Francisco's high cost of living, finance-oriented economy (not too many hot girls are into finance or can get into finance), cultural differences (Socal is more laid back and more party intensive), etc all account for the discrepancies in demographics
I am kind of surprised that San Diego is a relatively small city. I mean, if it was that nice to live there, why don't more people move to that city, though? It's not even top ten American city in terms of population, which puzzles me.

SF weather is really not that nice. There's no snow during the winter, but it does have a rainy season and it's rarely hot. Even in August its low 60s, now its mid 40-50s at night. Obviously this isn't awful weather, but compared to So Cal its a major downgrade.
I'll take Chicago over NYC any day. So Cal vs Chicago is tough for me. Love everything about the Chi except for those damn winters.
I agree. Chicago girls blow away NYC. So Cal is definitely better though-awesome weather, and the girls are always in shape and tanned. Problem with Chicago is that once winter hits, the girls gain tons of weight and hide their midwestern corn-fed blubber underneath layers of sweaters and north face jackets.
Any major city in Texas ...affordable cost of living, HOT girls, good economy (somewhat) ....
Fuck Cali and the Tri-State..I'm from NJ and will be returning to Texas when funds allow.
does anyone know much about Florida? like Miami, Tampa, etc. Also, how are girls and partying at schools like Florida, Florida State, or U Miami??
I'll provide some insight since I've taken classes at some of these schools.
The girls at UMiami are pretty hot, but they're no different from the ones up north. Most of them are rich wasps from the new England area.
Now, if you're into Hispanic girls, FIU has plenty of them. They're absolutely gorgeous and look very exotic. Parties are generally pretty crazy from what I've heard and tuition is really cheap compared to UMs. FIU may not have the same name brand as UM, but its is well respected regionally for its accounting and business programs.
Let me tell you the girls at UMiami are highly overrated. Some of the worst personalities you'll ever meet, which would be tolerable except for the fact that they're not hot either. And there's actually almost no wasps, it's all long island jews.
i dont know if id say NYC is lacking at all -- flake and i were grabbing dinner tonight at a spot and we had a thinner but cute turkish girl, curvy polish/german girl, small army of jewish chicks lookin ai aight next to us and a couple asians wandering around. it was a decent night

Friend goes to university of tampa, bunch of sluts there. Women in Miami are mostly gold diggers. Girls at Florida and Florida state party like no ones business
