Desperately need a haircut but I don't want to spend a lot of money. Haven't been too satisfied with my barber lately so I want to try a new place. List your favorite spots as well as prices. Thanks. Also, probably out of my range but anyone know the prices at John Allan's and Paul Mole?

Go to Raphael's barber shop.
Go to Raphael's barber shop. Including tip it's 20 dollars, and the service is reliable. I personally get 4 on the sides and back, and I keep the top longer so that I can semi-part it. The haircuts are consistent, fast but not too fast, and they take a straight razor to the sideburns and back of the head. You almost always need a shower afterwards though because I wish they cleaned you up better or shampooed your hair.

^I got a bad haircut from On the Mark, and my haircut is as simple as they come. (4 on the sides and back, longer on top.) My sideburns were uneven and the top of my head was shorter than the sides and back. It was ridiculous. I went there 3 times in total, and I'm probably never going back.
Been going to Jay at Astor
Been going to Jay at Astor Hair for a couple years now, he's done my asian head well and has honed his technique to suit my hair/style. 15+5 tip from me, but there are a ton of other barbers that work there with lower demand, I'm sure they're all proficient enough to get the job done.
lol its not about the price
lol its not about the price when it comes to the haircut, its about whether barber "gets it or not." you can essentially go to some flaming shit in manhattan that'll cost you 30 bucks and odds are you'll come out looking like a hipster, or you can hit up a dude who charges 12 bucks for a cut and can nicely (and evenly) line your shit up and know how to trim your hair with scissors and shit. just common sense to me.
