Your most memorable company offsite or team trips?

I am currently planning the annual company offsite for our team and am looking for some inspiration. What has been your most memorable team trip and why? Any activities which were truly remarkable and offered lasting memories (not talking about your typical binge drinking at the xmas party)?
As the goal would be to promote team bonding, we are currently looking into adventure-type exercises such as helicopter skiing, hiking or sailing. Any cool ideas to add?

Really depends on your budget. It could range from doing something in the countryside outside of your main city to an African lodge safari trip.
